My car went in for its MOT on Wednesday. The bad news is that it failed. The worse news is that it is going to cost me a fair amount for new brakes and realignment and a retest. This comes only 5 days after the car needed its exhaust changing as the old one snapped whilst driving to York.

Whilst not copying Neil directly, I also have a Facebook account. This comes after getting beaten down with email invites from people I know but have fallen out of contact with. As it stands, I only have 4 friends on the community site and I haven’t joined any ‘networks’ but I did (after some initial trouble) managed to get my site sending it’s ATOM feed to my profile.

I do so like playing on words.

Because we needed to be in York tomorrow due to family reasons, we decided that we would drive down, saving on train fare.

How wrong could I be? Just coming in to York, the exhaust on my car blows. Right in the middle of ‘Communication Breakdown’ by Led Zeppelin. We then keep driving, limping the rest of the way to Liz’s parents house. 30 down a 60 road – yay. I’ll try to take a picture of it tomorrow when it’s light outside.

Tomorrow is going to be fun. Ringing around garages first thing in the morning and then a funeral in the afternoon. Great.
