And other festive jollities.
I hope you all had a good holiday (I would just say Christmas, but in this day and age of political correctness, you can’t really – so there). I did.
Over the holiday period, I have managed to drink lots and eat ’til I burst whilst playing Mass Effect and watching films that I got for Christmas (Grindhouse – separate films though since the film didn’t do too well in the States, Transformers and High School Musical 2 – although I haven’t seen those latter two yet, but there is still time). Besides these, I managed to accumulate 3 bottles of plonk, 3 mini torches, 3 boxes of chocolates, a rather nifty looking drinks dispenser, a GPS and a tie. Oh, and 1KG of aniseed balls which I haven’t got around to starting yet.
Liz got a Robosapien V2 from me, which is apparently rather complicated to work so she hasn’t been playing with it very much.
What does strike me as odd though, I was holding off buying any deodorant/socks as I usually get some for Christmas, but this year I didn’t so I need to go and get some at some point.
On a separate note, you may notice to the right of the screen underneath ‘About’ is a new box called ‘Twitter’. I finally caved to see what the whole thing is about. Microblogging. A blog where the entries are a maximum of 140 characters long. Not bad, considering i can now do it form my phone too which is quite convenient.
I’ve been waiting, Forever
Finally, 3D Realms have actually moved on Duke Nukem Forever and produced a trailer for it. The best thing about it, is it says ‘Stay Tuned’ at the end, rather than the good old ‘When Its Done’ strapline.
I’ve got to say that it is looking good, and hopefully it’ll be out before 2064.
Anyway, here is the trailer that the company released today.
Curse of the Sausage Fingers
I have just ben naughty and bought myself an Asus Eee PC.
For those who don’t know what it is, it is an ultra-small sub-laptop (about the same size as a hard back Harry Potter book, and half as thin). Powered by Linux, it’s not the most powerful of systems, but it’s good enough to play internet on.
I’ll write more about it later on as at the moment I’m trying to not drop it off of my knees.
Rumour: New Old Enterprise
Whilst randomly browsing the interwebs, I was directed to a rumour that the image below is in fact the new USS Enterprise from the latest Star Trek film.
This is completely unconfirmed, so don’t shoot me if it’s wrong. I’m sure we’ll see the Enterprise in the teaser that will be tagged to the front of Cloverfield in January (US release – not sure about UK release date).
